Writers Wednesday | Maren Morris

First off, if I’m being honest I thought today was Tuesday. I was completely prepared to post this in the morning until I ACTUALLY looked at a calendar after a FULL day at work… *face palm to forehead*.

Anyway, in the future I will be more timely and have my “blog homework” done ahead of time and I swear to you… incredibly researched info. But for today we will keep it light hearted 🙂

Without further ado…

In honor of Maren Morris & her album HERO having it’s second year appearance Grammy Nomination this week, we wanted to feature her as our #WritersWednesday blog post.

It is no secret to avid country music listeners that this sweet powerhouse of a vocalist had her start in Nashville as a songwriter. With her honest lyrics and infectious personality, it is simply obvious that she would take a turn to become an artists after a fine-tuning her songwriting abilities. We just learned on a #BobbyCast that big time writers/producers, Busbee, invited Maren to a writers round and called her the next morning to know exactly when he could start producing and writing with her.

We at Blue Bandana Country love to keep up with our favorite female artists and respect the craft behind their lyrics.

To keep you well-informed prior to seeing her on tour in 2018, we made a quick playlist that highlight our favorite HERO songs but also songs she has composing credits with.

Some of which include the following:

Chain Smokin – The Way I Talk – Morgan Wallen

Sundown Heaven Town – Tim McGraw

Greener Pastures – Pawn Shop – Brothers Osborne

Shoot Out The Lights – Gold – Jesse James Decker

I also included “We Do Us” Ryan Hurd – because seriously if that isn’t her singing the back vocals… I think I will get my hearing checked.
